Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Construction Safety Manager for a contract position in Des Moines, IA, Red Oak, TX, Boydton, VA, Milwaukee, WI, Cheyenne, WY. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: The role of a Construction Safety Manager, often referred to as a Construction Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager, is integral to ensure that construction projects adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Safety Program Implementation: Develop and enforce comprehensive safety programs to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites.---
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all construction activities comply with safety policies as well as local, state, and federal regulations.---
Risk Assessment: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards.---
Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into any incidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.---
Training and Education: Provide ongoing safety training for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.---
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate safety practices into all phases of construction projects.---


Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.---
Several years of experience in construction safety management, preferably within large-scale or complex projects.---
In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.---
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.---
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
