• As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.

  • Job Requirements
  • 2+ years of current PICU experience.
  • Critical Care experience strongly encouraged.
  • must be willing to float to NICU when needed.
  • PALS (AHA) required.
    • Schedule Information
    • OT/Holiday Multiplier: 1.25x
    • NBO: 8 hrs
    • MAY FLOAT TO NICU - MUST BE WILLING TO FLOAT.
    • Client prefers that the Clinicians do not take more than 7 days off in a 13 week contract.
      • Unit Specific Information
      • The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is located on the second floor of the north wing on the Iowa Methodist Medical Center/Blank Children's Hospital campus.
      • Pediatric Transport Team provides children throughout the state access to a higher level of care.
      • 12 single patient rooms with lots of storage and space, including a private bathroom and shower.
      • Family Consultation Room for team meetings.
      • Family Lounge with a kitchenette and comfortable seating.
      • Patient rooms have a pull-out bed and reclining chair for families, privacy curtain, two televisions, and an individual sound system.
        • Additional Details
        • 1+ year of travel, OR, multiple travel contracts completed - required.
        • PROFILE REQUIREMENTS: Work history/resume, taxable address, skills checklist, license verification, references - highly preferred (will be required to complete during onboarding if candidate accepts an offer).
