If so, Serve Credit Union is looking for an experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) to support and positively impact our growing organization. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and energetic credit union leader that has a strong financial services background, strong analytical skills, and can effectively contribute ideas and lead projects that benefit our Members and our Team. The COO is a key executive that provides leadership and support in meeting our strategic objectives and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in directing all credit union operations, which include planning, recommending, and implementing programs and policies, and providing general administrative direction.
  • Oversee and monitor all aspects of our lending and collection operations, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring the delivery of exceptional member service.
  • Provides ongoing leadership and guidance to branch managers through coaching, assignment of project work, technical assistance and support and oversight of day-to-day performance and progress.
  • Manage, develop, coach and retain a high performing staff. Evaluate performance to determine successful execution and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Supports and leads the credit union's information security program, working with strategic IT and associated partners to identify, address and mitigate risk.
  • Maintain daily contact with branch managers, providing support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning their daily operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures to maximize efficiency and quality of work and to provide consistent quality service to members.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance for weekly staff meetings. Identify areas for improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or changes in services or products. Help keep staff up to date on trends and general credit union information.Qualifications
  • At least seven (7) years of credit union/banking supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in banking, finance or related field OR equivalent on the job banking/finance experience.
  • Detail oriented with that ability to multi-task.
  • Strong member service, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with industry's rules and regulations.
  • Results driven, and member focused.
  • Ability to demonstrate and deliver effective management skills to lead and motivate staff around Credit Union goals and philosophies.About UsServe Credit Union is a growing $100 million financial cooperative with 2 locations in the Des Moines Metro area.
